Great experience at the store, excellent service, especially from a young, dark-haired guy with earrings (I didn't ask his name) who took the time to explain things to me about the One Piece TCG. I hope they maintain this level of service in their community.

I've had the privilege—and I'd even venture to say the moral obligation—of frequenting OnPlay, a noble establishment dedicated to the strategic arts and the spiritual refinement that can only emanate from a Magic: The Gathering Commander table. And although one might suspect, given the intensity with which I express myself, that I'm exaggerating due to some poorly resolved blue spell or a humiliating defeat inflicted by a squirrel deck, I assure you there's not a trace of malicious hyperbole in my words. Behold here a rare phenomenon in these times of commercial coldness and declining sociability: a genuinely welcoming place. The staff not only perform their duties with commendable efficiency, but also possess that rare virtue of making you feel welcome even when you arrive with your soul devastated after a disastrous mulligan. And what can I say about the community that gathers there? One might expect to find taciturn scholars jealously guarding their arcane knowledge, but the exact opposite is true: the players are extraordinarily affable, patient, and always willing to instruct newcomers in the inscrutable mysteries of magic. I've seen rules explained with more dedication than some university lectures and defeats accepted with almost liturgical dignity. In short, OnPlay is not simply a store. It's a small bastion of camaraderie, illustrated cardboard, and healthy human interaction. And although the tone of this review might lead you to think I'm crafting an excessive satire, the tragedy—or the glory—lies in the fact that I speak with absolute sincerity.

Pleasant atmosphere inside the store. Whether you buy something or not, you're welcome to use the space. Spacious and airy, with dice available on the tables for free use.
