I'd never been to this store before. I went because a friend from Linares recommended Arabian Games and explained that there was a branch in Talca. At first, everything was fine. There was a guy who helped me really well, a 7 out of 10. I bought a Greninja Premium Collection and some card sleeves. Everything was good up to that point. Until I saw some toploaders and wanted to buy several, so I asked the cashier if it was possible to buy a box of them. He said he'd ask his supervisor or the store manager. From the start, the manager seemed annoyed because he was apparently playing a game at that moment and someone had interrupted him during his work hours. I honestly don't know if he was a tournament judge or just a player, but the point is, he was the one in charge. I asked him if he could sell me a box or give me a discount for buying several, and he ignored my question in a hostile tone, counter-asking me, "How many do you need?" I replied that it was one package. He asked me the same question again, and we repeated this a couple more times, each time asking the exact same thing. It was like talking to a robot. So, seeing that he couldn't understand my question, or perhaps I wasn't explaining myself well, I said, "One package. How many toploaders are in a package?" Annoyed, the guy roughly and hurriedly checked the box to see how many toploaders were in each package. He told me 25, and I asked him the total and if he offered a discount for buying multiple units. He didn't even bother to do the math: 25 x $700. I had to do it myself. I ended up buying 5 because buying all 25 after that kind of service felt like I was risking my own safety. Regarding the discount, he didn't say anything in a friendly or even subtle way, but perhaps his bosses didn't allow him to offer discounts, or that they only sold in units. He gave me a flat no, in an annoyed and brusque tone. Once he answered me, he hurriedly went back to his desk. He had no interest in selling. Honestly, it completely put me off buying what I had, but because of the first cashier's good service, I decided to buy anyway. My question was valid in that the first cashier didn't know if they only sold individual items or if whole packages were available. The fact that there's a manager in the store makes me think that there's a possibility, or at least that he has some autonomy, to give a more appropriate answer. Otherwise, what's the point of being a manager? To act like a bully to people who want to buy things? The experience would have been 5 stars if the cashier had been the manager, or if the manager hadn't shown up at all. I'd like to shop there again because the atmosphere and the cashier's good service show that it's a place where some people work with care, but I don't think I'll return if the manager or whoever is in charge treats you badly just for wanting to buy something. This happened on September 6th between 6:30 and 7:00 in the evening.
