Just got frozen lemonade, ice cream, a chicken Ceasars wrap, and then a slab of the chocolate fudge cake. The food was alright.. atmosphere was pretty quiet. The server was bubbly and energetic. There's quite a selection of games.

I recently held two events at Turns and Tales and I wanted to take a moment to talk about the wonderful time I had. Myself and my now husband have been coming here for over a year now and the experience is always delightful. The staff is ALWAYS incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming. The bookstore has an incredible selection and if by chance they don’t have the book you want in stock they are happy to order it in for you! The coffee at the cafe is to die for and the desserts are incredible as well. Now, onto the events we held. We held a combined Bachelor/Bachelorette party with Colin leading the games. We had customized trivia and a few games of werewolf and let me tell you we had a BLAST. It is evident in everything he does that Colin loves his job. His sense of humor is fantastic and he blended in so perfectly with our group. He and the rest of the staff were attentive to everything we needed and went above and beyond to make our night incredible. They even wrote congrats on the desserts in the case for us! Perhaps the biggest event of all is the wedding! We held our Wedding there, which was the first wedding Turns and Tales has done. Colin was with me every step of the way throughout the planning process. He was incredibly quick to respond to each and every email, attentive to details and so incredibly helpful. I cannot put into words just how wonderful he was throughout the whole process. This man is truly a gem. The day went perfectly, not a single bump in the road. The entire staff was incredible, all the little thoughts and details that went into everything made our day perfect. They put a personalized book display in the bookstore of all our favorite books, set up a little seating area complete with water for us while we waited for the ceremony to start, took pictures of us when asked, etc. Everything - simply put - was flawless. We cannot thank you all enough for making our day magical.

Got to experience this place for the first time since it opened, and boy do I ever regret not coming sooner! I could gush for hours how amazing the staff are, how great the coffee and food is, how beautiful the atmosphere and decor, how ginormous the selection of games and books...to Colin and the rest of the staff: THANK YOU!!!!!! I have never had the pleasure to meet such an amazing staff! Hands down the best business in Chatham!!!

I have started this review about ten times already this morning, but keep deleting and restarting as it's so hard to put into words the incredible experience that was had at Turns and Tales this past weekend (Friday&Saturday). First - they have some really great coffee, I couldn't stop at just one cup. Even the decaf was smooth, no hints of bitterness and so enjoyable. Paired well with their desserts and other items, you can't go wrong popping in and you'll be delighted. They even had cake slices in the case with "congrats" as a surprise. Stocked with so many different board games to suit your individual taste, as well as having a well thought out seating allows for space between groups, while still being a warm and inviting , you can get lost in the magic. From a date night, to your wedding day you can't go wrong with stopping in, or renting out the space for a private event. Now you might be thinking...wedding day? Yep. You read that right - a wedding! A beautiful wedding was had and the staff made the entire event so unforgettable. Friday night we gathered to play some customized trivia and a few rounds of Werewolf. Colin led both, and his love and passion for what he does was so evident. The quick wit, and amazing sense of humour meshed so well with our group and the laughter and joy did not stop from the moment we walked in. The entire staff made it so special. Kudos. Now onto the wedding. It was perfect, beautiful, everything you could ever want. And best of all? All our needs were met, even ones we didn't even think of. Upon walking into the bookstore with the bride to wait for the ceremony to start we found a table with chairs, and one that stood out for the bride along with a pitcher water and a stack of glasses awaited us. What a nice touch. The feature table in the book store was set up with all the bride and grooms favourite books & games. A very beautiful and sentimental detail. Honestly, I could go on forever about how wonderful everything was. The bride and groom got married surrounded by their favourite people, books and board games. Just perfect. Thank you to every staff member who was apart of this magical moment, and huge kudos to Colin.
