Drove up from states for a day and wanted to check this store out. Owner was very friendly and they had a vary large selection of books and boardgames/table top rpgs. Got to dig through tons of bulk Magic cards. Higher end cards are listed on their website. Good selection of Warhammer miniatures and paints along with black library books. 5/5

On December 4th, I came into the store to purchase six single Magic cards. When I walked in, one employee was speaking with another. He noticed me, greeted me, and asked, “How can I help you?” I told him I was looking to buy a few single cards. The other employee then remarked to him, “Well, have fun,” and walked away. The employee assisting me then responded in a noticeably snappy and irritated tone, asking, “Did you send in a list?” I said I hadn’t, since it was only a few cards. He asked to see the card names on my phone, there were six. After glancing quickly at the list, he stepped back and, clearly upset, said, “Oh no, that will take way too long. You need to send a list. I can maybe do like two or three right now, but you have to send a list.” I agreed to pick three. When he asked which three and I began listing them, he snapped at me for going too fast. At that point, I told him I was done with the interaction, that this was poor customer service, and I decided to leave. Another employee, who happened to be taking out the garbage, approached me outside and asked what had happened. After I explained, he told me he would take care of the cards for me, though it might take some time. He called me a few hours later to let me know they were ready, but I had already decided to place an order through FaceToFace instead and bought dragon shields from calicos.I appreciate that employee’s willingness to help, but the original staff member clearly needs training in customer service.

This little tucked away gem in the rough is a GREAT place for ALL AGES! From Fictional to Non-Fiction, Action, Romance, Romance for Women, Manga for Teens. Looking for collectable cards? They have them. Looking for a board game to try cause monopoly has destroyed your fsmily? They have a WIDE variety of board games to try (YES I said TRY before you buy) and purchase. Are you a fan of D&D and don't have the space..... well here you can check into some private board game rooms. The staff here are exceptional. They go above and beyond to help you find what you are looking for. Have been and will be going back.... lot's.

Been coming to the gameshelf for almost 20 years on and off. Very friendly and helpful staff. Absolutely no fees to go in and grab a table to play some games with friends. We’ve even rented out a room (free of charge) to host a DnD session, and of course we buy some packs, singles or card sleeves whenever we’re there. Definitely check this place out for all your nerdy stuff. Lots of game stores have come and gone in tbay, and there’s a reason the gameshelf is still around. 10/10.
