Been there twice and left empty handed both times. Not impressed with the selection of pokemon singles/bulk cards and the store is quite expensive. Typical upcharges on all tcg supplies($3 penny sleeves), extremely low count of singles (1 display case) with no prices on any of them so you pay full market price at checkout, very few bulk card options(3 bulk boxes), no prices on singles, price tags on slabs are extremely over market with little to no wiggle room when comparing the prices to ebay last solds. No binders to browse through. Edit: I didnt ask you to match the last lowest comp at $360 from mid july, i merely mentioned it and asked if we could get around there. A psa 5 shadowless venusaur is around a ~$400-425 slab comparing to the last few sales over the last 2 months. Yours is stickered at $550, in hopes for an less knowledgeable person to buy it without doing their research. You brought your price down to 460 (still over market) and had zero wiggle room on your $40 jumpluff slab. Which, at your sticker price is also over market because you claimed grading costs is associated with the higher sticker price when I can buy it right now for $26 on ebay. Anyone reading this, do yourself a favour and skip this establishment and attend a tcg show on any given weekend. Most vendors are looking to move their inventory, they are flexible for the most part, and are more than willing to work with you for them to make a sale.

My favorite hobby shop in the city. Led by Ben and his wife, I have got to know them over the years and they're great people, they take care of their employees and customers alike, they have some great employees like Felipe and all the boys and girls always running around to help you out ( I'm not Greta with name memory lol). Very knowledgeable staff. Very fair. The trade nights and game nights are phenomenal and well ran. if you were looking for cards or hobby items this is definitely the place to go!! Great job at players to all the team members!

I brought in a Deoxys EX from plasma force in heavily played condition. The employee asked if I was looking to sell or trade and I said I was looking to sell. She went to the back, not sure what she did or who she spoke to but she came back with my card and said that the best they could give me was $90. The card has a collectr value of $500 in heavily played condition. The store quite literally offered me 18% of its value. Just awful. Do not try to sell your TCG at this location.

SUMMARY The initial online shopping experience was great until I realized they shipped wrong product and they were reluctant to start the return process. SYNOPSIS I ordered a higher end version (“HEV”) of a product and received the lower end version (“LEV”) instead. I called to notify them that they sent the wrong product and the following occurred: - 1 star - Owner said they don’t sell the HEV. I had to guide him through his own website to show the HEV being listed and the order confirmation was for the HEV. - 1 star - Owner said how do I know I received the wrong product. HEV box is presented horizontally while the LEV box is presented vertically. Had to take a photo of the box to prove the item is the LEV box. - 1 star - Owner tries to sell me the LEV afterwards. I bought the HEV for better cards not more common cards. - 1 star - Owner said he would send the return label within 48 hours. I had to follow up after 48 hours and received the return label in 7 days. If this returning experience not happened. I would have given them 5 stars.

I can’t say enough great things about Ben and the team at Players. They’ve built an incredible shop, but more importantly, they’re genuinely great people. They’ve supported my family and kids for years, and every visit has been a positive experience. Over time, I’ve learned so much just from being in the shop and talking with them. The selection is amazing, tons of great cards and what feels like endless boxes to choose from. Whether you’re new to the hobby or have been in it for years, they make you feel welcome and taken care of. Really appreciate everything they’ve done for us. Couldn’t recommend Players more.
