Imaginary Wars Gaming and Hobbies

This place is awesome! They sell plenty of niche boardgames, paints, and comics. They have tables to play both cardgames and wargames while also having with some well painted terrain and boards. The hidden gem is the secondhand cabinet in the back, always great deals for 40k and D&D models.

Imaginary Wars is my FLGS. Great selection of Warhammer stuff, comic books, paint, board games, and other gaming hobby things. Very chill atmosphere for playing games and frequent events for 40K and other game systems. Definitely come check them out.

Have been coming to Imaginary Wars for years and it's always a friendly, welcoming shop with lots of games played on various days, mega battles, etc. Have been learning to play 40k and they've run a bunch of learn-to-play events. Check their FaceBook Events page to see what's happening. Owner is very friendly and happy to order items if they aren't on the shelf.

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. There is almost always games going on here and everyone seems to be having a great time. Pricing is good, the standard 25% off GW pricing on all their Warhammer. The selection is okay and they get a the new releases. The location is a bit hard to find and harder to find parking so it's not ideal. Overall one of the better TTRPG stores in the city.

Excellent store. Very nice and owner. Not a massive store but contained a nice selection of Warhammer 40k and lots of table space for the floor space available. The scenery for the tables was also really well painted with a ton of variety. Definitely worth checking out and playing at if in Calgary.
