I went here with my family for the first time. Maybe it was a “bad/off” day, but I mean there was 1 other customer in the store when we went and 3 people working. I was asking about bulk and the pricing and the worker was very unenthusiastic in wanting to look and as I was asking about the prices of each card, he replied coldly that I should have just looked online… Another worker noticed my daughter looking at cards behind the cabinet and informed her that the bottom row was $3 for a quick purchase. My daughter, 5, simply asked him to repeat the price and he replied in an annoyed way. They have lots of product, which is great, but customer service was seems like it could use an upgrade.

I called the store looking for a specific magic the gathering commander precon deck. The staff member who was helping me over the phone was very friendly and put one aside so I could go to the store later and pick it up. I got to the store, asked for the deck and went to go pay for it. I was also interested in grabbing some sleeves but when I went to pay for the deck it was much higher than what I assumed it should be. Then I should a staff member the price on their website to the store price and it was way more expansive in store than their website pricing. They corrected the price for me to match the website price but the reason for the 2 stars is that during this mix up it felt like the staff members where judging me for correcting them on their error. Instead of saying "sorry about that' or something along those line to which I would of replied with "no problem thing happen". They all stayed silent, rung me up and went back to what they where doing. Which felt like very poor customer service. So once again I don't feel it was right for them to give off that vibe of judging me for correcting them. As well as during this encounter I didn't raise my voice or make a big stink about the mix up.

Within the Lower Mainland, I find HoC Cloverdale to be one of the most consistent with having stuff available, and with great prices for accessories like sleeves and boxes. There are a lot of items, so it can be overwhelming if you're just browsing. But if you know what you're looking for, staff is great at helping you find it and answering questions. I highly recommend their online ordering system. It's easy to use and efficient. It's apparently linked to their Abbotsford location, but sometimes this Cloverdale location will have stuff in stock if it doesn't show up in the online store. Overall great go-to TCG store!

I get it's a business, but I don't know how to express how I feel about this. I dropped my PC to try and get an offer as I'm in need of cash. I knew it wasn't going to be a high offer, as the conditions of the valuable cards were on the lower side while the newer cards are in better condition, but not as sought out. I didn't agree with the offer, so I just came to pick it up. The problem is, is my whole collection was all sleeved, but only the "valuable" cards came back to me sleeved and out 70 percent of my remaining collection was left unsleeved and loose in the box I brought it in. Many of them full arts, rares and secret rares from sets older than X and Y. The box was padded with the sleeves I originally brought, but this doesn't excuse having my cards left unprotected. My personal collection may be seen as bulk to this store, but when I leave it in your care, I expect it to come back to me in the same condition. This is the first shop this has happened to me with and I am a little more than upset, having to resleeve everything in the car. Please don't do this to people in the future, return their collections in the same condition they are given to you. That just seems like common sense to me. You can argue it was taking time away to resleeve them, that you're busy, you didn't make the deal so you lost time and money and I get that. but my cards shouldn't have to be treated that way. Delegate the task to another employee, or change the way you evaluate pcs to be more respectful.
