Unfortunately, I didn’t have a very pleasant experience at Gobelin d’Argent / Silver Goblin. The employees came across as quite unfriendly and unwelcoming, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also disappointed with the Pokémon TCG pricing. A number of the cards and sealed products I looked at appeared to be priced significantly above current market prices, so I didn’t feel there was much value for a collector. My son picked out a few inexpensive bulk Pokémon cards priced at $0.25 each. I was surprised that tax was added to these very low-value cards, especially since I’m accustomed to seeing inexpensive bulk cards handled differently at card shows. I understand that stores have their own policies and tax obligations, but it was still disappointing from a customer perspective. I was hoping to find a welcoming local card shop where I could browse Pokémon cards with my kids, but unfortunately the overall experience left me disappointed. There are other TCG shops in Montréal that I would choose to visit instead.

Went to Silver Goblin to pick up a gift for my partner who loves Magic the Gathering. The staff members were very approachable, kind and knowledgeable. They took the time to understand what I was looking for and offered thoughtful suggestions that made choosing so much easier.

Ordered a Pokémon collection and sleeves to be shipped internationally. Unfortunately, they were out of the sleeves I ordered but they reached out to me after having searched other nearby stores for them. They offered to send those new sleeves instead of the ones I originally ordered at no additional cost. I was greatly appreciative of this kind gesture, especially so when my order arrived timely and intact. I would love to order from them again.

Very disappointed with the quality of service and the lack of professionalism from the staff. My wife went to the store to buy me some single cards and boosters, and they clearly took advantage of her lack of knowledge by selling her cards well above their actual value. On top of that, during her first visit, she was given certain prices for One Piece boosters, but when she came back the next day, the prices had suddenly increased. Then a seller backtracked, saying that since it was for a special occasion, they would honor the previous day’s prices — which makes absolutely no sense. Pricing shouldn’t depend on how a customer looks. Also worth mentioning: all the single cards were packed together in the same sleeve… a great way to bend and damage them before even getting home. Overall, a terrible experience. Overpriced products and a store that clearly takes advantage of its customers.

Ordered their singles and they arrived in good time and perfect condition. They packaged the singles safely with lots of protection. Too much even, for cards on the cheaper side lol. But much appreciated nevertheless. Lots of love from Ontario!
