First time coming here, so many weird red flags and bad customer service interactions to the max. My friend had stopped a bit over the line of two parking spots car still running, I am currently injured and have a handicap parking pass as there is not accessible parking here, in order for me to get out I next extra room, before she properly pulled into a spot. It was not even 1 minute after we stopped the car still fully on and me scrambling to get out an employee pointed at us signaling us to move in the most rude way It was so strange. Then when I was in the store looking around a pre teen kid excited asked to see a blister pack from the case the employee, not exaggerating, made the most disgusted face, rudely laughed and mockingly said you got "bread" like that. The kid was devastated the employee didnt budge either basically told him pick somthing else he wasn't going to let him see it. i looked after in the case nothing that impressive was in there for that out of pocket reaction. This changed the whole kids mood. Pokemon TCG, ect was started and made primarily for children and to build community, I have never been so disappointed and disgusted by a TCG collectible shop, vendor, anything and ive been collecting pokemon since 2001 as a 6 year old kid. The way they treated a young collector not to mention a kid wanting to expand his collection or getting into the hobby and who was just curious and wanted to see cool pack was actually shameful I walked out I cant support anyone or bussiness who talks to a kid that way and crushes the true spirit of the community like that. Actually insaine. I understand some things are super expensive whatever but maybe be a normal human being and explain things nicely next time not crush a kids joy? The store ia also extremely overpriced compared to other local options and anytime anyone asked about a product the two employees would basically laugh and mock them or talk crap about the product or price point. Honestly bad vibes in general I dont make reviews but I couldnt let that one slide. Go somewhere else youll probally find it cheaper elsewhere anyways.

Not very respectful to women and not particularly friendly. I've been playing MTG for over 6 years and am used to not being taken seriously but this store is just too condescending. I won't be going back as there are many other TCG stores to go to.

I struggle with anxiety and it was hard for my partner to convince me to come to this shop. First visit was good, first employee was nice and welcoming. Second time, different employee, unfriendly and unwelcoming. Will not be coming back unfortunately.

I just had the most lousy customer service experience I've had in a while. To preface I want to say that I haven't bought a lot of TCG cards in a long time but I wanna get back into playing magic. I also have lived in the area for a couple years now but have never visited this place. I came in looking for a gift for a friend that I cant seem to find elsewhere locally. I also came in eager to get something for myself, maybe chat up the friendly person who works there, and make a new friend in the form of a lifetime patronage of a local game store. When I entered the store I entered behind one other person. There were two people in the store behind the counter waiting. The first person was greeted warmly by the first guy and they began a conversation. I approached the second guy assuming I'd be helped as well and as I did he pulled out his phone and started tapping away on it. It felt a little awkward but I assumed he would be brief. After what felt like 5 minutes I began to feel embarrassed and was about to walk away when he looked up at me and said "Hey". I must have been a little bothered by this I guess because I asked the old hated retail question of "Hey do you work here?". He said "ya" so I stammered and asked for the one thing I came for, the gift. I paid for it promptly. He asked me if I needed anything else I asked if they had MTG stuff he pointed to farther down. I took a quick peek but frankly I was feeling so awkward by this point I just wanted to take my one thing and get out. I know brick and mortars have to charge a little more to keep the doors open I get it. But part of that is paying employees for good customer service that feels welcoming. I went in eager to support local small business even if it meant paying more and I left wanting to go back to only ever buying from amazon ever again. (Many of price tags are all like 10-20% higher than they should be, and a disappointing selection for mtg.) It looks like the have play tables so It's probably a fun vibe when it fills up. Don't know, wont be coming back.

The Treasure Chest Games is a store packed with card collectables and other entertainment. When I stepped inside the store, I was overwhelmed by how much stuff the store has. I came on a Saturday as well, when a lot of people were playing the Yu-Gi-Oh card game. They have movies of every format, including blu-rays, VHS and even 4KHD. They also sell video games of all formats, including the old Nintendo consoles from the 1980s and onward. The store sells all sorts of trading cards, not just Pokemon and Magic: The Gather, but also Lorcana, Dragonball, Digimon, Shadowverse Evolve, Star Wars, and yes, One Piece. In fact, they have more of those cards in stock than any other store. I was very glad that I came to Coquitlam to check this store out and I hope to come back very soon.
