Not a viable or reliable place to get store product, i have had multiple negative experiences over the five years I have been purchasing product from Toy Tales. The store owner is misleading and withhold product for his personal friends and limits the regular public. Most recently negative experience I had was my friends and I went to get some new product that was being released and was informed seven minutes before the store opened that the product did not come in; to our surprise by following them on Facebook, we saw that the store owner had posted the product had arrived at 10 AM, 7 minutes later. My friend returned at 10:10 am to see that most of the product had already been sold and he had now placed a limit of two per person. 20 minutes later our other friends went to go get some product and we’re informed that it is one pack per person. I also had a situation months ago, where the store owner increased the price of the product half an hour after release forcing me to pay an extra $20 more than my friends did moments before I got there. This is not a good place to do business. I would take your business elsewhere as the store owner clearly favours certain individuals and does not respect the general public. If I could rate this store as a zero instead of one star!

I can't recommend this shop enough! I picked up some gifts for a friend’s children after Christmas, and the owner went above and beyond to help me find the perfect items. He was so informative and kind, and seeing how happy the kids were made it all worth it. I'll definitely be a returning customer. Thanks again, and see you next time!

I got kicked out the store today by the store owner Matthew and the reason is ridiculous. I called a couple days ahead and asked if they had any pokemon cards and I got hung up on right away. I called back and asked why he did that and he just gave a rude response. Came in the store today and it seems he recognized my voice and kicked me out. Won’t be shopping here again. Additionally everytime I enter the store staff watches you like a hawk thinking your gonna steal anything that is within reach. If you enjoy getting disrespected and get accused of stealing this is your go to place 👌🏻

Great store, Matthew is very kind, i am a regular here been here for the past six years since we moved to cambridge. all i can say is it has been amazing so far. Their prices are the best. my six year olds collection of playmobil, bruder abd legos just keeps growing. lately, I have personally seen petty theft has increased in the mall in general. I have personally seen children stealing small toys in several other retailers. as parents it is our job educate our children. and be mindful when visiting stores i only wish we continue to support smaller businesses like this and not destroy our community by indulging in petty politics. I understand times are tough,

**Unacceptable Behavior and Racial Profiling at Toy Tales** I am deeply disappointed and disturbed by the treatment my family and I received at Toy Tales today. This incident, involving the store owner Matthew, has left me feeling humiliated, angry, and completely unwilling to ever shop at this establishment again. My family and I were browsing the store with my 8-year-old daughter, who was carrying her large Stitch stuffed toy from home. While we looked around, she picked up a small Stitch stuffed animal from the display table, as children often do. I saw no harm in her holding the toy while we explored, and I made sure she put it back before we left for the next store, Urban Kids. As we were leaving, I noticed the owner following my husband and son, loudly asking, “Did she put back the Stitch?” My husband assured him, “I saw her put it back on the table.” However, Matthew escalated the situation by ignoring my husband’s response and instead rushing past me to confront my 8-year-old daughter. He approached her at Urban Kids and began accusing her of not returning the stuffed toy, asking her to come back to his store to “show him where it was.” My husband intervened and offered to show him the exact spot where the toy had been placed, diffusing what could have been a deeply traumatic experience for my daughter. When I returned to the store to demand an explanation, Matthew claimed my daughter didn’t put the toy back in the “right place” and that the store was “a mess.” When I pointed out that my family had ensured items were put back in their proper places, he backtracked, admitting we didn’t create the mess but doubling down on blaming my daughter for supposedly misplacing the toy. The most infuriating part? When I asked him to apologize for accusing my 8-year-old of theft and raising his voice at her, he refused. His justification? “This is not a game. I never let my kids walk around with toys in a store.” He showed no remorse, no accountability, and no basic decency. What’s worse is that this isn’t an isolated incident. After reading other reviews on Google, it’s clear Matthew has a pattern of racial profiling and mistreating customers. I am disgusted to think that I have supported this store in the past, purchasing puzzles, tea sets, and other toys for my children. Matthew’s behavior has ensured I will never spend another dollar here. It would have taken a simple apology to resolve this misunderstanding, but instead, Matthew chose to belittle my family, humiliate my child, and escalate the situation unnecessarily. This experience has made it abundantly clear that Toy Tales does not value its customers, and Matthew’s actions are reflective of deeply problematic and discriminatory behavior. If you value respect, kindness, and inclusivity, I urge you to think twice before supporting this business. My family deserves better, and so does yours.
