Never been so disrespected and discarded in my life at a store, im convenienced that the owners fake empathy at an attempt to curry favor just so you spend money. I'd highly recommend that you don't go to this store or at the very lest do not build a rapport with these people as they will just use it to take advantage of you.

Comps are all over the place and not accurate! Went in to trade in magic cards for Pokémon. Had about $100 worth of magic cards comped using collectr app and ebay last sold they told me they have a different system( collectr and ebay being the mains card vendors use now). I was offered a significantly lower price. I was willing to take the hit as a Pokémon had caught my eye so I said sure just for the employee to make a phone call to his manager which ended up saying he wanted none of them except for $2 for 3 cards. I then changed my mind and just ended up purchasing the card instead at near mint comps when I got home I took it out of the sleeve to find the back of the card was destroyed. ( kinda my fault for not looking in store) This is not the first time I have been screwed on comps here to only find out later! Not a good experience here either unless you know everything about what you have and what they have, The owner will do his best to make you feel dumb and make it seam like your wasting his time God forbid you go in on game night, then low ball you on you valuable cards!

I recently sold a large Magic the Gathering collection here and found the team to be fair, respectful, and trustworthy. I was apprehensive about being paid in monthly installments but they honoured our deal and kept on schedule, despite the store being in the middle of relocating, and I'd recommend Gamers Emporium to anyone looking to sell their card collections

The staff and community are very nice and will help new players with Magic the Gathering or any other game you may be looking to play or buy. I’ve had a great time at their draft events and commander nights. Buying single cards from and selling to the store for store credit has also been a smooth and fun experience.

Honestly, we have had pleasant interactions with a woman who works here who let us know that we could bring in our Pokémon cards, and introduced us to a few really cool initiatives going on at this store. However, every time we interact with the store owner, I presume, we often leave disappointed. Now we had to write a review because it is unfair to be told that a card costs a certain amount of money, only to be up-charged an additional $5 afterwards, when in-store, we were told it was only $2. When we realized the discrepancy between what we were told and what we were actually charged, we immediately called back, and were met with very rude "customer service." Also, when we dropped off a stack of 50+ Pokémon cards (commons, uncommons and rares), the shop owner forgot to pay us, and we had to go back... for a single toonie. But then he charges $2+ for common cards, which is completely unfair and ripping off the customer. I would just avoid this store, as we have had only one pleasant interaction in all of the times we have walked in.
