OBSIDIAN GAMES

Came to Obsidian Games today as I had some free time during my short vacation from Vancouver. Jake was super friendly and kind, very willing to negotiate and make trades for singles. I was finally able to trade away lots of my singles that had been sitting for a while. Had some good conversations and never made me feel pressured to sell and buy cards. Will most certainly come back in the future. Well done team!

I'm very impressed with the miniature hobby product range this store has. Pro acryl, AK interactive and other hobby items. It's nice to have a store that sells them without ordering online. Shame I don't live in Vernon!

Great staff and it's the best game store for buying Magic the Gathering singles! Pre-release events are fun but they should add in prizing for booster draft events they host. This would attract more customers (including myself) to come and attend.

Stopped in on Sunday, March 15, 2026 while visiting from Calgary and was genuinely impressed. The shop has a clean, well-organized layout and even a mezzanine area dedicated to tabletop and competitive play, which gives the place a great atmosphere. The owner (or staff member) behind the counter was incredibly knowledgeable and generous with his time. We ended up having a great conversation about the local scene. The regular patrons who were there were enthusiastic, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the games they play. I only spent about 10 minutes browsing but another 30 minutes just chatting and soaking in the community vibe. It’s the kind of shop that makes you want to come back and spend an afternoon gaming. Definitely worth a visit

We were in Vernon for the day and just happened to come across Obsidian Games — what a find! We browsed for quite a while and ended up staying for some really friendly conversation with the staff. We love tabletop games and were really impressed with the selection and variety. They also had all the accessories and extras needed for the trading card games my teens love, including some great Magic: The Gathering merch I hadn’t seen before. We left with some great finds that my teens were really excited about. Definitely a place we’ll stop into again next time we’re in Vernon.
