Mind Games - Woodgrove

These stores are so neat. And for the longest time, I thought there was just the one in Coquitlam. This Mind Games location has mostly the same toys, accessories and board games as the other one, including Funko Pops, One Piece and Lorcana trading cards and electronic interactive toys. The staff were quite friendly, too.

Today i went with my friend and we got aphmau things we were venting to jonathon (sorry if i misspelled his name) about how we get bullied for liking aphmau and he gave us some really nice advice about it! So thank you jonathon! :)

I used to love this place, tons of great items. Now i see they've hopped on the scalping Pokemon cards bandwagon. No respect for their customers. But thanks for taking all that retail product then listing it in your retail store for outragous prices. Totally showing your respect for customers. Before any manager stops by to say "Well we price it on many factors..." no, you're scalping. If you want to price it appropriatly, then give me a call and I'll help you, what you are doing is literally scalping. Either own up to it or stop doing it. If our comments are so valuable to you, then you'd listen when people are telling you you're insulting customers and ripping them off.... but you don't.

Staff is great but I have to leave a one star review because of the prices, notably the Pokémon cards. The market is crazy right now and retailers have to buy from the wholesalers at an increase cost, so of course that means retailers have to increase their prices to make money. But the price of this store is absolutely insane. I couldn't believe the prices I was seeing. Having to increase the price is one thing but this is just scalping.

The staff are great! Super helpful and very friendly. The issue is the greed of upper management, They frequently over price new products especially which ever mtg precon deck is the most likley to be sought after. For instant the Zulodok precon special edition was around 230 -300 everywhere else and they tried to price it at 600 dollars. It is safe to say it did not sell until they reduced it multiple times despite having a wait list for the deck every person on the wait list decided not to purchase because of the out rageous price gouging. The Upper management also over works the staff and they are under appreciated. If you want good prices this is not the right place for any mtg product besides pre release kits. The Thursday night commanders are very casual and inclusive. Until they stop the price gouging and treat the staff better 3 stars is the highest I feel I can give them.
