HOB'S GAME CAFE

I Highly recommend HOB'S Gaming Cafè I am new to playing magic the gathering and from my experience at this business it has been amazing! All of the staff are so friendly and extremely helpful in teaching me to better play the game and understand it. They have even helped aid me in learning how to build custom commander decks. By far has the best pricing around town for mtg singles and booster packs its such a warm heart felt atmosphere I always feel so welcomed and just love going here! be sure to check them out definitely worth it.

Owner was friendly. Said she enjoyed the social aspect of gaming. Magic. Pokémon. Dungeons and Dragons. Games Workshop. Coffee. Drinks and Snacks.

I debated about posting this. I was here the other day when there was a young man and lady working at the store. I enjoyed them. I got some starter mtg stuff for me and my girls. Went in to get some stuff about a week later and there was this older lady working. I wanted to get something for my daughter’s birthday and she’s been getting into magic, but I had no idea what to get. Tried to ask for help, and was asked if the music was too loud. Tried again and I don’t know if she heard me. Tried a third time and was told a lot of stuff. Had conversation. Wound up buying nothing because I didn’t want to be a bother. And this is a nice shop. I think my second time was on a rough day. Also. Does not order lorcana I was told unfortunately. *edit/update. Came again. Was the lady working. Found out her name is Natalie. Had around the same things happen. Tried to buy a couple booster packs and unfortunately “is the music too loud?” Was the topic again. I wish we had a better store in town. Unless the young man and lady are here I won’t be walking in.

We had such a good time at Magic the Gathering! It was awesome to watch my son join a tournament and laugh and learn and join in! Natalie was so kind in getting him set up and included. Their new location is very convenient and their Black Friday sale was very awesome! Thank you for having such a great place in our community of Strathmore!

Dungeons & Dragons night is a blast. With 5 different games going each Wednesday. Being able to drop in & play wherever an open spot is available makes for an awesome week day evening.
