Nice store but they need to update thier profile. I went in for one thing that thier profiles aid only to find out they no longer sell comic books and accordingbto an employee it's been since about 2020 when they sold comics. What sux is i drove all the way from newmrket to check them out because thier google profile says they sold comics :( my friend and I walked in only to find nothing but trading cards and ppl playing magic

Great space, great staff, well worth the adventure to Lawrence. They have several commander nights and tabletop game events. For MTG, I find what sets them apart is their in-store computer system to order singles that are processed very quickly in the store itself. So for last-minute card grabs or grabbing a suggested card someone mentioned at an event can be super convenient!

+ 1 Star - Online ordering/website is well designed, quick and easy + 1 Star - Selection very good for TCGs + 1 Star - Overall product offerings for gaming hobbies top notch - 1 Star - Staff can be dismissive/curt when you ask questions - 1 Star - Scalping prices and no price adjustment policy I used to shop at this store when it was downtown Toronto, up the steep stairs, tall lanky really nice owner and resident free roaming cat (always a highlight). Good old days. I had yet to visit the new Hairy T at Yonge and Lawrence. Long story short, do your research. 401 games a few subway stops away has similar product offerings, including TCGs and they price adjust within 14 days on most things. I was able to get over $700 in store credit after some TCG products I purchased were significantly marked down after 2 days. Hairy Tarantula on the other hand, the products I purchased in the same time period essentially charged scalper prices and would not adjust anything, even though price dropped on many items over the next few days. That's fine, it's a business decision at the end of the day, but as I will be spending again significantly in the long run, I hope fleecing a customer of a few hundred dollars via a poor business pricing policy was worth losing out on thousands in future business. In the name of taking accountability, I should have checked on the policy first so that's on me. It just never crossed my mind Hairy T would not have a price adjustment policy considering its humble beginnings and that one of its direct, more corporate competitors does.

We love coming here, the people are extremely friendly and my family has sort of grown up with the store in the past five to six years. It is a safe space for LGBTQ community. We come here for Pokemon products and even I have become interested in the game watching my son play.

Very helpful staff. The place was lively with games when we arrived and was well-organized. I don't play MTG but wanted some art cards from the recent Final Fantasy set for my collection. They had 2 of the 3 I was hoping to find. I felt welcome despite being a bit out of my element. Seems like a fantastic place if you're more into tabletop!
