I have recently in the last 12 months been reviewing every TCG store in Melbourne/VIC, and genuinely, Nekocards is actually my top most favorite TCG store. The customer service is beyond expectations. Background: We (me & wife) usually only collect niche singles (Pokemon cards), and we used to play alot of YuGiOh. So we're not new to the TCG scene, but we never played any BushNavi /Jap TCGs. My wife been loving Umamusume phone game for the last year and when we found out that Weiss is doing a collab with Umamusume we decided to get some cards for personal collection. We pre-ordered from Gameology as we just didn't know any better. On the day of release I picked one up, but friend forgot to pre order and I wanted to buy the starter decks. I called around and spoke with Nekocards. Story/Interaction: During the phone call, the store owner?/staff? was super helpful. I went down to Nekocards and met the staff there and they were incredibly helpful, understanding and explained how Weiss/BushiNavi works. Further to this they informed me of future releases in a non-sales way, it genuinely felt super friendly that I just went "lets preorder it" because it wasn't a sales pitch, it was him genuinely just caring and knowing what I/we wanted so he made conversation. A few weeks later I came back to pick up more products, the same guy was serving me from first time and again, he was absolutely fantastic. I wanted to know more about the Palworld event and releases and asked a bunch of questions. After this I pre ordered starter decks for Palworld. Another week goes by and I come to pick up the Palworld decks. Upon seeing the same guy again I told him I was picking up pre order and he straight away said "Ah yes for Eddy", I was surprised and baffled and I was super happy. This is amazing customer service. Unfortunately, me, being forgetful and being so new to all these BushiNavi app and events I had to re-ask everything about events and what Palworld events are coming up etc. So again, I'm sorry! But the staff at no point ever felt like I was annoying, instead, they were incredibly welcoming and friendly throughout every. single. interaction. If I could give these guys 10 out of 5 stars I would. While these guys might not have SINGLEs Pokemon cards, I am definitely never buying any other TCG products from anywhere else and I will check if Nekocards has them in stock first before anyone else. Because these guys deserve everything with the way they handle customers. For any future customers reading my review, do yourself a favour, goto Nekocards to look around, buy some cards, enjoy your time here, it's great! Also their toilets always clean. :D

Gatcha machines were really cool, and the stock in the store was great by the looks of it. I've been thinking about writing this review for a little bit now. I don't want to bring down a small business however what I experienced was not cool. I went in on a Saturday and there were bunch of guys playing and trading cards, it seemed like a fantastic community and I was keen to shop and maybe meet some people. As I entered the store completely (it's upstairs) and started browsing the entire store fell dead silent and was quite a hostile vibe. I tried to ignore it and went to the counter to talk to the guy about what Pokemon sets he had in store (there was heaps!) as I asked questions he didn't even have the respect to look up from his computer screen or even greet me back in the first place. I get that some geeky guys get shy around women, but shy and disrespectful are different things. I ended up finding a card shop a few hundred metres away that not only also had great stock and community, but also had great service.

Ding ding ding!! Another tiktok spot I’m checking out! Came to see another one of the capsule toy place which I finally now know is called gacha? If you wanted to do gacha or capsule toys this is 10000000% the place to go! Not only is the variety insane, the actual prizes themselves are actually good not boring like some other places and not to mention all are officially licensed! The aesthetic of the outside of the store is really cool with the graffiti entrance is a big plus to me. Not only that after doing some gatcha pulls went upstairs and was introduced to a whole bunch of anime card games and stuff! Staff were lovely and attentive, the skinny attendant was sure to tell me that everything is beginner friendly and made me feel really welcome and made sure I didn’t feel too intimidated. Didn’t get around to playing any cards but I will be definitely coming back to play some!
