I pondered while sitting in the store waiting for my fellow locals “what doesn’t seem right?” True, I’m not a follower of the norm. I am a person who leisurely walks in to have a game or 17 and don’t compete a lot, as I know the sweatiest players always gather. It’s not the community though that I find hard to swallow. Upon entering the store, which I had done many times before it was different. No usual greeting or reassurance that the friendly faces I had known would gather to help. No instead, the face of a person who seems like their dog is being repeatedly run over by their dad. A shell of a person who doesn’t offer a smile or a gentle greeting. Instead emptiness. I walked the store to see the new layout after the shop being closed, and am impressed by how the owners have changed the layout but kept the same vibe of DeckaDice. However behind the counter was the abyss of emotionless clouds. I knew encountering i would fail the roll for charisma, but alas I wanted to pay and enter the game being held that night. Boy what a mistake. The disorganisation, the miscommunication and the sheer lack of care was astounding, Sorry to say, but the was a crit 1 roll. I shall come back when the owners are back and performing duties again. As for the poor soul that was running the shop and event…please a simple smile changes the world. Not all is bad and it is ok to show slight cheer.

I went into the store today to see what the store had. My jaw dropped when I saw six pack bundle boxes of Pokemon 151 today. So I definitely had to grab one. It was a very pleasant surprise to finally find a shop in Mackay with this Pokemon set and at a price that wasn't inflated. It was great that you limited it to one per customer. Keep stocking these hard to find and sought after sets please. You definitely picked up a regular customer from me.

Awesome stock, and seems like a great space to play! If I lived in Mackay I'd certainly be a frequent flyer. As it is, it's good for my wallet that I'm only here to visit! Very fairly priced - seems like a lot of their pricing is competitive even against the big names like gameology. A very nice selection of sleeves, boxes, books and dice.

Awesome store. Amazing layout. Went into the store today and was helped out tremendously by a friendly and helpful staff member named Josh. Can't wait to go into the store again to buy more DnD figurines and other games and collectables
