My 6yo son loves this shop. The staff are so patient and helpful and spend time with him to help him find a card that he will love. And they happily do this even when he's only got $5 to spend. Highly recommend.

Had a great experience in store with a really lovely person behind the counter who would look up prices for me!! Left with a nice haul. It would be great if there were price stickers on the cards so I didn’t have to keep asking the person serving me to look it up :)

Had quite an awkward experience at the store. There was a few friendly staff at the start but when served by what seems to be the manager, the service was different once talking about trading or comparing with market prices. There was no willingness to discuss prices on single Pokémon cards, despite staff claiming that their pricing follows TCG daily market rates. I even showed the price and it was way off to what they were selling for. He then mentioned there’s 15% above to cover margins, and makes the cards significantly above not only market but other stores. When looking at my cards to trade for cards to complete my set he would be very dismissive and provide prices that were way below TCG Player or not even look at them saying they’re worthless. Walked away quite diminished and felt what was from a RFP procurement process rather than talking more around building ground collection and connections. I could just imagine other people’s experience who are new to the hobby.

Really well packed elite trainer boxes. It's always stressful living remote and hoping the products you buy for display will arrive in one piece considering the cost of the products these days. A lot of other businesses will just throw the products in a box with a little bit of packing peanuts and pray for the best. Troll Aus melb did a great job with heaps of bubble wrap! Seriously appreciate it. Honestly would love an additional shipping option for extra protection. The elite trainer box acrylic protections are insane! I've never seen such a thick acrylic in such a premium looking packaging at such a cheap price? The lid even seals really well! Everyone else is selling acrylics half as thick that leave gaps between the magnetic lid for the same price if not higher.

My young cousin is just getting into the hobby and comes here often. From all accounts the usual guys working here are really friendly and happy to spend the time with them talking about Pokémon cards. I was visiting my cousin and thought it would be nice to go in with them and bring my old cards from when I was a kid. I had hoped the guys would go through them with us and it would be a nice bonding experience. I know I have some valuable cards that the shop might have been interested in. Unfortunately on the day we went in, the owner was there and he decided to serve us. He was immediately dismissive, and patronisingly talked my ear off for half an hour about how he wouldn’t even bother looking at my cards and would pay me cents on the dollar for the lot. My cousin listened to the whole thing and dejectedly walked around the room as I watched their child like passion being crushed. The usually friendly staff members also awkwardly stood to the side during this time. Maybe I caught him on a bad day, or my intentions weren’t clear, but it’s sad to see a business owner for a hobby store act like a businessman first and an enjoyer of the hobby second. If you want your business to thrive, you need to be encouraging new people to the hobby instead of turning them away. I hope he treats his workers better than his customers and takes this review as a reminder to be more friendly with customers interactions.
