Got a group of 4 together for a beginner's D&D adventure and we had the best time! We were all absolute beginner's and our dungeon master Simon was so great, patient and great at explaining everything he made everything very fun and interesting. Would recommend anybody who is curious to try. All the staff were lovely and the food was great!

A hidden gem in the city centre. The staff of the dice are always wonderful, helpful, and professional. They treat allergies and dietary requirements with incredible care, which is rare to find. You'll find a ginormous collection of games to play at one of many themed tables, booths or function rooms. These days it's hard to find such an establishment surviving the crushing cost of living, so please bring a couple of friends and enjoy a game or some food at The Lost Dice soon! Pro tip - the iced mulled wine is fantastic!

My friend and I have been here a few times now as it is a great location to meet in the middle for some board games. This place has such an incredibly warm, inviting atmosphere. The staff are all so lovely. Walking through the building on our way out, there were multiple tables of people laughing and having a fantastic Friday night. Whether you love casual board games, complex board games, party games or you’re simply looking for a feed, drink and a fun atmosphere, this place has it all. The owner was just lovely too and clearly knows his stuff about the games. I could not possibly recommend this place more. I cannot wait to come back in a few weeks time - I’d be there weekly if my schedule allowed it!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I went to The lost Dice a few days ago (Sept 11). Our experience there was incredibly disappointing. A group of 5 of us came to celebrate a friends birthday, his first time celebrating it in 8 years. Hoping for a fun wholesome night of food, games and catching up. Instead, the evening quickly turned sour. Shortly after arriving, a staff member told us we were being ‘too loud’, even though we were speaking at a normal volume. For a board game café, where friendly banter and excitement are part of the experience, this already felt unreasonable. The food was overpriced for the quality served. The birthday boy ordered a pulled pork burger, and bit into a piece of glass embedded into the meat. Rather than offering a sincere apology, staff spoke to him in an accusatory tone, claiming, ‘We haven’t broken any glass lately’. Everyone at the table was baffled, especially since the tone suggested we had somehow planted the glass ourselves. Fortunately, we were seated in view of their CCTV cameras, so the footage clearly shows we did not. Despite this, he had to practically demand a replacement, as the dismissive response to his concern was, ‘What do you want us to do?’. Although our meals, drinks, and game passes were eventually comped, the damage was already done and our evening ruined. On top of the glass found in my friend’s burger, I discovered a hair in mine, which completely ruined my appetite. I didn’t raise it with staff due to the already poor service. Even the water we were served had pulp floating in it. Out of the four burgers ordered at our table, not a single one was finished. Staff eventually offered an apology for the food toward the end of the night. But the final straw came when we saw a woman in the outside gaming area openly displaying a swastika tattoo on her right hand. If my review and our experience don’t make you think twice about visiting, or question their hygiene standards - it’s worth reconsidering whether you want to support a business that allows this kind of hate to go unchecked. This was our first visit to The Lost Dice, and it will absolutely be our last.

My friends and her family want to go this cafe for a while. Finally we made it today. The food was so so, I had my “destructed fried chicken” burger 🍔 (bc it wasn’t served with a whole chicken thigh fillet). Disappointed with the soggy chips 🍟 too. The service with the staff was ok. However, the vibe was good and we all enjoyed the games 🎲♟️very much, especially for the kids 👦🏻👧🏻. They were laughing and a bit of screaming. People around us were also absorbed in their play. $9.90 for adults and $7 under 15 yo or $25 for family. It’s worth the money.
