Kollecta World is the place to go for all sorts of collectables. It has a Nice Bright atmosphere filled with all sorts of geeky goodies and Pete regularly has new stock come into the store. Kolecta World has so much potential, which honestly makes this harder to write. When the store first opened, it felt exciting. A cool space for collectors, gamers, and people genuinely passionate about Pokémon cards and collectibles. But on our most recent visit, the atmosphere had completely changed. The first thing both my child and I noticed was the smell. My child actually asked, “What’s that smell?” the moment we walked in, and unfortunately.. they weren’t wrong. The store smelt heavily of sweat and dust, and it instantly made the space feel uncomfortable rather than welcoming. What really stood out was a large grey couch covered in visible stains. In a gaming or hangout environment, I understand wanting comfortable seating and a relaxed vibe, but if that’s the direction, it needs to feel clean and maintained. Something darker, wipeable, or easier to keep hygienic would completely change the feel of the space. Instead, it gave the impression of a neglected lounge room rather than a store selling expensive collectibles. There was also very little stock on the shelves compared to previous visits. We visited not long after the store first opened and it genuinely felt exciting back then. Full shelves, energy, people browsing. This time, it felt completely different, and the lack of stock only added to that empty, rundown atmosphere. We actually came in intending to grade a stack of Pokémon cards and browse properly, but ended up leaving without buying anything because the atmosphere just felt off. Even the kids wanted to leave. I can see why the older reviews are so positive because the store clearly had a strong start. But based on our recent experience, it feels like the upkeep, presentation, and overall environment have slipped significantly. This place could still be fantastic with a refresh and a stronger focus on cleanliness and presentation, because the concept itself is genuinely great.

I got a great deal for a gba and the lady there was very friendly. If im ever in Port Adelaide again I'd love to come back.
