HOBBY FORGE FNQ

If you’re into Pokémon, trading cards, tabletop games, or just love supporting genuinely good local businesses, do yourself a favour and visit Hobby Forge. Joel and Shannon have created something really special. They’re hardworking, honest, incredibly accommodating, and always happy to take the time to chat. My eldest is completely Pokémon-obsessed, but like a lot of kids, most of his information comes from YouTube or school friends, which isn’t always accurate 🥴 Joel and Shannon have been fantastic at answering his endless questions, teaching him how to spot fake cards, explaining card values and sets, and sharing their knowledge in a way that’s patient, clear and easy for kids to understand. They also handle card trades with integrity, making sure kids understand what they’re trading and checking they have a parent or guardian’s approval before anything goes ahead. What I love most is that they’re creating more than just a hobby shop. They’re building a welcoming, safe place where people who share these interests can connect, learn and enjoy the hobby together. It’s the kind of local business our community is lucky to have. If you’re anywhere near Smithfield, drop in and say hello, you won’t be disappointed.

Cairns area has needed another gaming store for awhile and the Hobby Forge delivered. the owners are friendly, easy to talk to and they don't seem annoyed you are there to take all my moneys like other local stores. it's a small space, but they manage to pack in all the basics of a good game store, including lot's of table space. as they establish, hopefully there selection and stock will increase but that's only a minor thing as they have managed to do the one thing that any good gaming store should do: make you feel welcome. here's to a bright future to Cairns newest gaming space.

On a trip over from NZ. Was recommended this place by multiple people. THE BEST card shop/vendor that we've been to here and in NZ. Wonderful service from the owners. Thanks for the wonderful day

Awesome card shop, the owners are really lovely and genuinely care about their customers. They stock a range of different card booster packs, singles and accessories such as binders, sleeves etc. We've really enjoyed every visit so far and have had freakishly good luck with our Pokémon cards we bought from them! Fantastic new local business that we absolutely need in the community, go check them out and show some support! 💚💚💚

Awesome little card shop! Heaps of binders and accessories. Good quality ones like Palms Off!!! A really good card collection with a decent amount of graded and raw. Even binders with raw cards labelled in different sets! Owner is a great dude and super friendly. Starting out with a shop like this wouldn't be easy! So if your in the hobby, get in there and support the small business. With shops like these, you take care of them and they will take care of you. Will definitely be a regular customer! Cheers
