Extremely disappointing experience. I called ahead to reserve an item, and the staff explicitly confirmed it was in stock and told me they would hold it for me. However, after driving two hours to get there that same afternoon, I was told it was out of stock. If items cannot be reserved, or if the stock ran out, why didn’t anyone call to let me know beforehand? Driving all that way just to be turned away was incredibly frustrating and completely ruined my day.

Friday 5th June - 9.45-10am. My 13 year old son’s fifty dollar note was not accepted in this store because upon scrunching it, the note did not “bounce back” as a crisp, new note would. He was denied the sale because the customer service rep decided the money was counterfeit. Imagine what this does to an honest child, who walked out feeling like his birthday money was fake. When I went in the store, he didn’t have the confidence to walk back in with me. I gave this lady four fifty dollar notes - the crisp ones satisfying her need for the bounce back while the older notes which were in my son’s pocket failed the bounce test. We took it to the bank. The bank ran the notes through multiple machines. Legit. They’re confused as to why we’re even asking - as far as they’re concerned, the notes even “bounced back”. We can’t help but feel discriminated against, for what other reason would she have to deny our money if it’s not for your mistrust of ethnic people? Terrible, Games World Fountain Gate.

I collect/play TCG's. I have honestly never had a bad experience here. The staff are all lovely. Prices can be a bit high but it's not outrageous. The reason I'm giving a 3/5 is because of their "customer preorder" system. I've been told multiple times that you can't preorder from here, you just have to show up and hope you can get something but when you do show up on the release day of a new product you get told "sorry we're out of stock, it's all gone to "customer preorders""? make it make sense.

Went to Games World Fountain Gate this morning (Xmas eve) to purchase Spongebob Square Pants Ford truck clearly all priced at $49.99. When I got to the counter the manager tried to charge me $59.99 although all were clearly marked. She refused to honor the price on the items and was extremely rude. She preferred to lose a sale at Christmas over $10 than honor the lower price. What a bunch of thrives. Will never shop here again.
