I feel mixed giving this review because I don’t think it’s the fault of the store so much as whoever manages their database and sets prices. Short story, I went into CEX to sell some Sega megadrive and gameboy games. I checked their website and the prices looked ok, plus I didn’t want the hassle of selling on eBay and/or marketplace. Anyway, I was told they weren’t buying that day as they had a backlog but they said next door (EB) also buys games. So off I went next door. The guy behind the counter was actually really nice and helpful. Very polite and efficient. He looked up the boxes titles I have (after informing me EB don’t take loose carts) then asked for my ID, I said, can I see the price first? He turned his screen and showed and I saw the first line…$7 for complete in box Sonic & Knuckles on the megadrive! I laughed and said, that’s an insane price. CEX pays $132 (I showed him their site) and these regularly sell for $200+. He kind of just shrugged as he obviously has nothing to do with the pricing. Again, nice guy, decent store (I like shopping in EB generally), but their prices for buying second hand vintage games?…ridiculous. I literally just sold it on eBay after it being listed for les than 10 minutes for $200.
blubrd.

EB is running a ps5 buyback campaign today only, only first 2000 people get the offer. And I met Matt the master of efficiency. He processed 20+ orders by himself in one hour. This is truely remarkable as he was the only person in store, and he had to manage the long queue and answer the phone call.
