Dorky Desires

Genuinely the most welcoming, wholesome environment for an LGS. I moved to Brisbane 2 years ago without any friends and it was very difficult to find a place to play. Someone I knew reccomended Dorkies to me and the rest was history. I've made some of my best friends here and lifelong memories I'll cherish. I can't imagine my life without this place and the people who own it and work there! Lots of love 🧡

I love supporting local LGS like Dorky, and I think they have a really great section of products, as well as an excellent play space for both TTRPGs and TCGs. I was a little disappointed by my most recent interaction as a customer, though - I felt like customer interaction and engagement wasn't being prioritised, which was very much at odds with my previous experiences at Dorky. I was simply processed and then bid goodbye . (My last name was also asked for in order to send a receipt to me, and I haven't received it). I hope that future staff interactions are returned to their normal high standard.

Awesome LGS. Got good selection of MTG products. Managed to get some good cards for my B3 Tidus commander deck :D

In a day and age where "Online is King" there is a great emphasis on "Brick and Mortar" stores to go above and beyond with their customer service. Shontel and Sarrin are genuine aussie gals that followed their dream of opening a game store. Ive known them for a few years now, they are lovely, easy to talk to and always happy to help you find what you are looking for. With a wide variety of TCG, Anime, RPG accessories and weekly events, its a great place to play or find whatever nerdy accessory you need. It's such a priviledge to have Dorky Desires. Support your local game store. Great bloody form. 100% Recommend.

Came for the cards, stayed for the vibes. The staff are absolute legends—friendly, funny, and way too good at making this place feel like a second home. I’ve made a ton of great memories here, from hype pulls to “just one more game” turning into hours. It’s so good I started bringing my friends along… which might be my greatest achievement, because now they’re all regulars too. Bad for our wallets, amazing for our happiness. Would 100% recommend.
