Dan Solo Comics

My daughter was visiting Hobart for the day on the 31st of December and this was her experience: I walked in and straight away was completely ignored by the guy at the counter. No hello, no welcome, nothing and I had to wait several minutes at the counter before he finished what he was doing and to finally acknowledge me. I asked if they had several different comics that I was after and all he could say was no multiple times in a very unenthusiastic tone, nothing else. I then had a look around the store before thinking of some more comics to ask for in which he showed me to one section, picked up one comic, handed it to me and left without a word. Later on I asked for Scarlet Witch, he replied "they're all scattered around the store" and reluctantly showed me to one tiny section before quickly taking off again. I continued to look around myself for a bit longer before leaving. This was overall a terrible experience and I was very disappointed since I was really looking forward to visiting this store after seeing the good reviews others had left. The guy working there was rude and had no people skills whatsoever and no interest in helping me at all. I also got the feeling I was being treated differently due to me being a woman. Not only that but the store is a dismal, sad mess and the comics are very unorganised which makes it impossible to find anything at all. This has to be the worst comic book store I've been to so far and doesn't hold a candle to Kings Comics in Sydney who have such kind, helpful staff and a beautifully organised store.

Great Comic store! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They let you have a look without being hassled. Great price and atmosphere.

Fantastic store, prices are great compared to other shops in the area, great selection of comics both new and old. Staff are extremely helpful, especially the bearded, blonde man who helped me pick out some card packs. Will definitely make this a regular stop just for him alone.

Store and store owner are amazing, Just very unfortunate that local TCG stall holders harass owner into selling all his stock so they can resell at outrageous prices to "help the community". I would Recommend that the Store owner spread his stock across more customers to actually help the tcg community

The little comic shop that could. Heaps of bins and toys who knows what treasures you may find while digging thru the bins.
